She would hide her hands in her pocket during conversations. She became extremely self-conscious, withdrawn, lacked self-esteem and had low self-confidence. For days she would lock herself indoors for fear of embarrassing herself in the public. No matter how hard she tried, she only became aware of the act when the nail was already in between her teeth. And then she breaks down: “oh noooo…I have done it again” And then she resolves never to do it again. But it’s just a matter of days, sometimes weeks before she unconsciously puts the nails against the teeth one more time without as much as a single thought before the act.
“The powerlessness over this action is what is killing me…And because I can’t control this, every other area of my life seems to be spiraling out of control before my very eyes” she confided in me during her 1-on-1 online coaching session with me. She had been through several will power trainings, spiritual deliverances, breaking of curses, breaking of foundations, burning of the nails, ingestion of concoctions etc and countless counseling sessions; all to no avail.
